Anthony R. Parenti, MST, CPA, is an entrepreneur with over 28 years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax, financial planning and retirement plan administration. Mr. Parenti also develops and presents professional education courses for accountants, in industry as well as public accounting, and has given several hundred lectures on nexus, multistate corporate tax and sales & use taxes from Boston to Washington, DC since 2002.
Mr. Parenti has extensive experience in public accounting as a practitioner. He is extremely knowledgeable in multi-state tax management, especially for the State of Pennsylvania and City of Philadelphia. As a consultant, Mr. Parenti serves commercial clients in the greater metropolitan Philadelphia area as a controller/tax advisor/management consultant. He is experienced with consolidating spreadsheets and models, and some SEC reporting background. Mr. Parenti is the primary client contact for local area businesses in real estate, contracting, manufacturing, trucking, mixed martial arts, professional services and retail businesses plus non-profit organizations. He is a business development officer, technology advisor and tax research consultant. He is a teacher of Peachtree and QuickBooks accounting software, and current discussion leader and seminar developer for CPE Inc.'s multi-state lineup of state and local tax programs. Mr. Parenti has been involved in extensive negotiations and representation before the various federal, state, local tax departments and collection agencies on behalf of clients. He participates in the pro-forma financial reporting for private placement offerings and business plans for start up clients in need of venture capital, and assists clients with bank financing, financial forecasts and budgeting. Mr. Parenti performs compilation services, including financial disclosures; manages client relationships, prepares and reviews S-corporation, C-corporation, partnership and individual tax returns. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Mr. Parenti was a tax manager for Peirce-Phelps, Inc., a wholesaler and integrator of videoconferencing systems in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania, and received his B.S. degree in accounting from Villanova University and his M.S. degree in taxation from Temple University.
